The first element will always be the earth. It is where we come from, and where one day we will return. It is the ground beneath our first steps in this life. The first element we must learn to conquer in Jiu Jitsu, falling, rising, and returning to the ground again. Again. And again.

Earth is the element of nature, of patience, of endurance.
It is the path walked by wanderers and warriors. It was the first element Miyamoto Musashi disappeared into, roaming the land as a lone ronin, searching for mastery beyond the sword. The journey begins here.
