Half Sumo is proud to collaborate with the Renzo Gracie Academy in New York City, designing the official gear for its legendary Blue Basement—one of the most revered training grounds in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Founded by Renzo Gracie in 1996, this basement has become the proving ground for countless elite grapplers and MMA fighters, including Matt Serra, Chris Weidman, and Garry Tonon, as well as the mastermind coach John Dana her, whose students have dominated the highest levels of competition. More than just a gym, the Blue Basement is a battlefield, where warriors sharpen their skills and push the limits of the sport.

Our ongoing collaboration for 2024/2025 reflects the relentless pursuit of excellence, blending Half Sumo’s bold design ethos with the legacy of one of the most prestigious academies in the world.
