The third chapter of the Benkei Trilogy is finally here!
Legendary, and larger than life, the 12th century monk turned warrior Benkei still inspires modern day warriors with his many accounts of bravery, and formidable fighting skills.
Described by all accounts as a unique looking character, even as a child due to his unusually large frame ( some accounts say he grew to be over 6 foot 6”) and intese face features, he was dubbed early on “Oni Waka” (Demon Child) also due to his fiery, and intense character. Too wild to adhere to the strict tenements of a monastic life, he set out to travel Japan as a ronin, vowing to challenge every man with a sword he would cross paths with until he had collected 100 swords from their unworthy hands.
Every detail has been reproduced with high fidelity on a premium cotton tee using waterbase ink to provide a soft and comfortable feel. Every line, every brush stroke is like a katana strike that has left an indelible mark on the surface of this tee.
Please note for this tee we used our vintage blank. If you are usually size M, go ahead and order an M.
As always 100% cotton, crafted in the USA with heavier yarns, this garment has been hand-treated with intentional imperfections for authentically worn-in softness and style...pretty bad ass.
