Reminding us to appreciate all the simple moments in life, BJJ points us in the direction of a lifestyle of pure life, or as our friends from Costa Rica would call it a lifestyle of PURA VIDA. 

When creating this new and unique looking Gi, we wanted to source a new fabric that is innovative yet meet all of today’s demanding needs for both training and competition. We therefore selected a light yet durable 350gsm Star Weave and matched it with some comfortable lightweight 10oz rip stop pants. Soft to the touch, but very durable even after many washes, this fabric combination ideal also for athletes looking for a reliable GI to travel with, as it’s lightweight makes it the perfect travel companion. 

Timeless and tireless effort has been spent to assure the perfect everyday fit, comfort enough to not impede any range of motion, snug enough to avoid those pesky opponent’s grips.

The internal GI jacket is sublimated with our unique Half Sumo Irezumi style artwork, colorful and inspired by nature & and the wildlife that one will find in a tropical jungle. 

Various high definition patches, embroideries and prints decorate the outer part of the jacket and pants. Discover also a unique Haiku style poem printed on the inside of the jacket.

We have also included an unique high quality Gi bag, fully sublimated with Half Sumo's unique detailed hand drawings. This bag is fully machine washable so you can just throw it in the wash along with the GI, and have a fresh clean bag after every roll! The shape of the bag makes it a great day backpack either you chose to use it to carry your GI or any other item/gear. 

BONUS: With every Gi comes also a flat woven Jaguar patch which you may chose to sew to your GI or wherever you see fit. 

The GI fits like a modern tapered GI - It is pre-shrunk, but please allow for an additional  5% natural fabric shrinkage after the first few washes.

VERY IMPORTANT: It is the customer's responsibility to provide a safe and proven address. Due to fraud concerns we will not refund any orders marked as delivered by USPS/UPS/DHL- Please double check the correct spelling of the address when placing the order. We will not be responsible for packages claimed as lost when the tracking shows it was delivered to the address provided. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • The system will calculate automatically the shipping cost at checkout based on the number of the items and their weight.

    You will have a chance to review your order and the shipping costs before you are asked to finalize your order and your Credit Card is charged.

  • Our staff will process your order within 24 business hrs and hand it over to the most reliable shipping provider for the selected destination ( UPS or USPS )

  • All US domestic orders are generally delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Please note that both carriers will not deliver on Saturday and Sunday.

    International orders, due to distance and custom/import delays generally are in transit for 10 to 15 days from the date of shipping.

    CUSTOMS & DUTY For International Buyers - Please understand that delays due to foreign custom clearance etc. are a possibility, and the buyer is ultimately responsible for all duty and custom charges when applicable. We have noticed at times that the USPS/UPS tracking number does not update once the package is in a foreign country. Customers in the past were able to retrieve their packages from their local post office using the tracking number provided, although the mail service online site had no additional information

    IMPORTANT: For both national and international shipments, the buyer is ultimately responsible with providing a "safe" delivery address. We will not be responsible for items marked as delivered by USPS or UPS, but claimed by the customer to never have been received or stolen by neighbors, dogs or aliens. It is your responsibility as a buyer to track the package and make sure someone is there to receive it, or provide a safe environment where the postman can drop it off.

  • No, due to the real possibility of delays due to holidays, weather or other logistic factors, we cannot ship any orders to hotels or other temporary residences. Make sure someone will be at the location at all times, or the order we'll be canceled before it is processed.
